It’s hard to believe it’s been over 60 years since Hank B Marvin, Bruce Welch, Jet Harris and Tony Meehan recorded Apache.
This was the monster hit that launched the Shadows’ instrumental career and founded a nation of bespectacled guitarists dreaming of acquiring their very own Fender Stratocaster, so we are delighted to welcome ‘The Bootleg Shadows’ for their first appearance at The Halifax Playhouse.
With their immaculate appearance, synchronised dance movements and clean, pure melodic sound, the Shadows chalked up 35 hits of their own (not counting another 33 hits with Cliff Richard), giving them more hits than any other British group and securing them a unique place in the annals of popular music.
‘The Bootleg Shadows’ perform a show that encompasses the Shadows’ amazing career from 1960 up until the early 80s. Including all the hits and popular “Cliff” vocals, including some surprises!
Concert audiences are invited to relive fantastic hits such as Apache, Foot Tapper, Man of Mystery, Atlantis, Wonderful Land, Kon Tiki, Don’t Cry for Me Argentina, FBI, plus many, many more.
In the company of Geoff, Howard, Nathan Lloyd and Binks, the audience is taken on a tour of the Shadows career, with plenty of humour to make it a night out to remember.
For anyone who loves the sounds of the 60s – and enjoys a few laughs on the way – ‘The Bootleg Shadows’ perform a unique tribute that has audiences humming the tunes and doing the Shadows’ famous ‘walk’ long after they have left the theatre.

DIRECT FROM THE WORLD FAMOUS CAVERN CLUB, LIVERPOOL
Beatles Complete present a night of Beatlemania packed with massive hits from the most influential band of all time.
Having now performed over 250 shows at the world-famous Cavern Club in Liverpool, this Liverpool-based ‘beat combo’ is the youngest ever Beatles band to gain a residency at the Cavern Club, where they still perform every Thursday and some Saturdays, packing the club out and creating a unique Beatles vibe. Aged between 18 and 22, Beatles Complete are the closest thing you will get to the unbridled joy of seeing the young Beatles when they first lit up the world. Whilst they can’t promise all the screaming and tears from the 60s, they can give you a host of classic songs brilliantly performed by a band of accomplished multi-instrumentalists, spanning right across The Beatles’ recording history, from Please Please Me right through to Let It Be.
Having performed at International Beatle Week for the last 4 years running, the lads have been invited to return again for 2025 and are also taking their extended show to theatres across the UK. The band has also appeared on the BBC and on TV in Japan and the Netherlands, and in the recent Beatles documentary ‘No Hamburg – No Beatles’.
This is a night not to be missed for all Beatles fans, performed by a band who are quickly making a name for themselves due to their musical prowess, boundless energy and easy Liverpool wit. The Beatles were a phenomenon in musical history; Beatles Complete remind you why.
